Wizards of Hazards is a new band - this is their sophomore album - but their sound is misplaced by about fifty years. They’re a Finnish classic Heavy/Doom Metal band - instruments, composition, and mixing all seek to emulate the sound of 70s Heavy and Doom bands. And, in that, they’re wildly successful.

If you’re into that style and sound, why are you still here? Go listen.

They’re nowhere near breaking new ground. That’s fine. For what it is, it’s good. But compared to modern Prog and Doom, it feels flat. Basic. It’s not bad. But, for my taste, it’s also just not good.
