OOF. Like, I wasn’t expecting fireworks, but still.
It's Shania Fucking Twain. Queen of the 90s. At least in terms of Country music. But, man, I just don't feel like her heart was fully into this. Pop Country has shifted quite a bit since her hay-day (haha...), and most of the album has these really modern-style hooks, but they don't mesh with Shania somehow. It feels forced and disjointed. I feel like I need to look into the writing of the album to see how that went. I just didn't enjoy it.
